Every Kingdom Community
Has a Story.This Is Ours.
The Childlike Kingdom exists to help kids of all ages rediscover the joy, wonder, and simplicity of life in the Kingdom of God.
"The Spirit of the LORD is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor."

(Luke 4:18-19)
What We Believe
-
We believe the Kingdom of God is best experienced with the wonder and simplicity of a child.

-
We believe rich biblical truths and childlike imagination are not opposites. They are partners. Deep theology can be playful, and playful theology can be profound.

-
We believe creativity and imagination are gifts that help us see the world and our relationship with God in fresh and unexpected ways.

-
We believe the Kingdom is not just for individuals. It is for families, faith communities, and anyone brave enough to come to the table together.

-
We believe in speaking truth to the cultural moment with grace, honesty, and the kind of courage that comes from knowing whose Kingdom we belong to.

-
We believe in love that moves. Love that rolls up its sleeves and serves the harassed, the helpless, and the hurting at home and around the world.

-
We believe there is room in this Kingdom for the weary, the disillusioned, and the ones who thought faith had passed them by. Returning to childlike trust is not a step backward. It is the path forward to hope and healing.

The Heart of It
The Childlike Kingdom began with a simple conviction: that the most profound truths of faith are often the ones we learned first and forgot too quickly.
Jesus looked at the children pressing close and said something the adults didn't expect. He said the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to people like them. Not the scholars. Not the powerful. Not the ones with perfect theology and polished resumes. The children. The ones with open hands and wide eyes and an unshakable belief that good things were coming.
That invitation changed everything for Dr. Jay Anderson.
After more than 25 years of pastoral ministry, theological study, and walking alongside people through every season of faith, Jay began writing what would become The Childlike Kingdom: An Alphabet for All Ages. It was a book born from a lifetime of learning, unlearning, and rediscovering what it means to see God's Kingdom the way a child does: full of wonder, rich with meaning, and bursting with an invitation to come closer.
But this was never meant to be just a book.
The Childlike Kingdom is a growing ministry and creative platform dedicated to announcing, picturing, and living out the Kingdom of God. Through books, community resources, speaking engagements, creative content, and hands-on service, we invite people to step into a faith that is both deeply rooted and delightfully alive.
